Greetings from Deb & Charlie Skinner,
Owners of Barnacles Restaurant and Gift Shop:

Having been residents of North Captiva Island for
over twenty years, in 2011, we bought Barnacles (Phils),
which was a landmark restaurant since the 1980s.
We are committed to providing the best customer experience through
our friendly staff, beautiful views and quality food in our restaurant.
We continue to renovate the buildings and its surroundings with attention to our history and preserving that Old Florida environment.
Please visit our ice cream and gift shop upstairs, serving Queenie's locally made ice cream and our unique gifts, many from local artists and sustainable markets.
We have created the North Captiva Conservation Fund, to protect our island and the surrounding waters.
NCCF is dedicated to the preservation and stewardship of
the fragile ecosystem, including plants and animals, of this unique,
subtropical island.
Make sure you decorate a DOLLAR BILL and donate it to our fund by pinning
it to the bulletin board in the dining room.
100% of all monies go to support the NCCF to protect our magical island.
Barnacles is also committed to going green.
We have eliminated all styrofoam containers, our “to go”, ice cream
containers and plastic bags are recyclable.
We also support local artists and small family businesses, in Florida and abroad.
Welcome - our community is your community.
Together we can preserve and protect our beautiful paradise!
